ALLUSION IS TO A BIBLICAL PASSAGE DESCRIBING AN IMAGE SEEN IN A DREAM

The image's head was of gold, breast and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and the feet were part iron and part clay. In the dream, the feet of the image were broken to pieces by a stone, then the whole image broke and the pieces were carried away by the wind.
