a social hall or meeting place in Paris, France, popularly known as the American Students' Club. It was founded around 1920 and provided a place for Americans and others to meet and partake in such activities as playing cards, table tennis or attend French classes in the evenings. Shortly following World War II (1939–1945) the center served to hold classes for American students attending school in Paris.
