short for beginning rudiments, a series of rudiments questions, asked prior to the main body of the session as a part of the model session procedure, which set goals for the session and life or livingness, cleared up any difficulty with the auditing environment and the pc's willingness to talk to the auditor about his difficulties, and included handling the withholds and present time problem rudiments. —Academy Level III Glossary
