BUCKET, KICKED THE (5)

BUCKET, KICKED THE (5)
ScnMaster
(slang) died. This expression comes from the fact that animals that are about to be slaughtered for food are often hung from a frame scaffold; as they are lifted into position they sometimes kick out, their legs hitting a part of the frame whose French name, buchet, is the origin of the English word bucket. —Conquest of Chaos Approved Glossary (8.7.92)
