COME WITH ME TO THE CASBAH

COME WITH ME TO THE CASBAH
ScnMaster
a statement thought to have been made by French romantic actor Charles Boyer (1899 - 1978) to American actress Hedy Lamarr (1913 - ) in the 1938 American movie "Algiers." Although he never said this line in this or any other movie, he became famous for saying it due to many people doing imitations of him saying the line. The Casbah is the older, native section of Algiers (the capital city of Algeria and the chief seaport of northwest Africa) which has winding mazelike streets. —PDC Volume 1 Approved Glossary
