one who keeps communication lines moving or controlled for a n executive. The communicator is to help the executive free his or her time for essential income earning actions, rest or recreation, and to prolong the term of appointment of the executive by safeguarding against overload. The communicator's job includes more than secretarial duties, as the communicator is responsible for policing unusual and unnecessary traffic on the executive's lines and for ensuring that the executive's orders are complied with.
