store an electric
charge
and consists of two
charged
surfaces separated by an
insulator
. If a conducting
path
is provided between these two surfaces, the
condenser
will
discharge
through this
path
or
circuit
and an electrical
flow
occurs. A
short-circuit
across a
condenser
can
result in a violent
discharge
.
