(1893–1943) president of Ford Motor Co. until his death in 1943. In 1958, during the presidency of his son, Henry Ford II, the Ford Motor Co. put a car on the market named after Edsel Ford. The ‘Edsel’ was one of the biggest flops in the automotive industry, resulting in a loss of $250 million in two years for the Ford Motor Co.
