(1893 - 1943) president of FordMotor Co. until his death in 1943. In 1958, during the presidency of his son, Henry Ford II, the FordMotor Co. put a car on the market named afterEdselFord. The `Edsel' was one of the biggest flops in the automotive industry, resulting in a loss of $250 million in two years for the FordMotor Co.
