GAMMA RAYS (1)
ScnMaster
radiations which are similar to x-rays, but with a shorter wavelength than x-rays. Because of their short wavelength, gamma rays are very penetrating. They have a range in air of about 1 1/2 miles and are the principal cause of radiation disease in atomic warfare. —LCDH Approved Glossary
