reference to the Johnston office, a former name of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, Inc.; a n organization formed in 1922 and headed by Will H. Hays until 1945. During Hays' presidency it was called the Hays office. The name changed to the Johnston office in 1945 when motion-picture executive Eric Johnston (1885 - 1963) became its president.
