Carl Gustav Jung (1875 - 1961), Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist. Jung differed from Freud in regarding the libido (energy or driving force) as a will to live rather than a manifestation of the sex instinct, and held that a neurosis is to be understood more by analysis of the patient's present problem and inadequate adjustment than by unearthing childhood fixations and conflicts. He divided all men into two classesNintroverts and extroverts. —Secrets of the Mest Universe Glossary (approved 26-9-90)
