(1818 - 1883)German political philosopher. He is regarded by some as founder of modern socialism. The work he is most known for is The Communist Manifesto in which he states that the evils of capitalist society cannot be abolished by reform, but only by the destruction of the whole capitalisteconomy and establishment of a new classless society.
