a light, two-seat, propeller-driven, high-wing monoplane manufactured by the Piper Aircraft Corporation. High-wing means its wings are mounted at the top surface of the body of the plane, and monoplane means it has just one pair of wings. The Cub was Piper's initial production type, starting in 1937.
