PORTMANTEAU

1.portmanteau-originally a stiff leather bag divided into sections. Portmanteau word-a word made up from combination of two words of similar form and meaning, e.g. smog-smoke and fog. (7007C15 SO) 3. it means putting everything in the same bag, portmanteauing mission orders, whereby an organizing mission is also made into an operating mission. (7007C15 SO)

combining everything in the same bag. Used figuratively.
