ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (2)

ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (2)
ScnMaster
a huge limestone mass at the southern tip of Spain, extending into the Mediterranean. Its seeming impregnability (not capable of being captured or entered by force) as a fortress during several wars led to the saying: "solid as the Rock of Gibraltar." Used figuratively in this lecture. SHSBC Binder 12 Approved Glossary
