emotional tones of a person. These, ranged from the highest to the lowest, are, in part,
serenity, enthusiasm (as we proceed downward),
conservatism,
boredom,
antagonism,
anger,
covert hostility,
fear,
grief,
apathy. An
arbitrary numerical
value is
given to each
level on the
scale. There are many aspects of the
Tone Scale and using it makes possible the
prediction of human
