ScnMaster
assumed name of Francois Marie Arouet (1694 - 1778), French author and philosopher who believed in freedom of thought and respect for all men, and who spoke out against intolerance, tyranny and superstition. He believed that men could agree about two or three points that they can understand, but they could only argue to no purpose about two or three thousand that they can never understand. —PDC 2 Approved Glossary
